Attorney General Kris Mayes announced that Arizona joined a multistate crackdown on illegal robocalls as part of Operation Robocall Roundup, a coordinated effort by the bipartisan Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force. Mayes and 50 other attorneys general issued warning letters to 37 voice providers that have failed to comply with federal rules aimed at stopping illegal robocall traffic.
“These telecom companies are knowingly allowing scam robocalls to be routed through their networks,” said Attorney General Mayes. “They’ve ignored basic federal requirements, and by doing so, they are enabling fraudsters to reach Arizonans’ phones. That stops now. My office will not tolerate companies that profit off robocalls while putting our residents at risk.”
