DE Attorney General Kathy Jennings responded to official confirmation that the U.S. Department of Education has released previously withheld education funding to Delaware. Attorney General Jennings joined a coalition in filing a lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration’s abrupt and unlawful decision to freeze this funding earlier this month. “The Trump Administration’s fly-by-night attempt to choke off school funding was always illegal. We knew it, they knew it, and the American people knew it. Together with Gov. Meyer and Education Secretary Marten, we took them to court, and it worked. The White House backed down.
