Attorney General Phil Weiser today announced that Domuso, Inc., a California-based rent payment processor, has entered into a settlement requiring the company to comply with Colorado consumer lending and consumer protection laws and to reform its fee practices for Colorado renters and housing providers. Domuso will also pay $100,000 to the state of Colorado to be used for consumer protection efforts, restitution, and enforcement activities.

This agreement ensures that Domuso’s fees comply with our consumer protection laws, ends improper fee-sharing practices, and promotes the continued availability of cost-free and traditional payment methods like paper checks.
