Attorney General Raúl Torrez, as part of a bipartisan coalition of 25 attorneys general and the City of New York, today welcomed Shopify’s decision to ban the sale of all vaping products, including e-cigarettes, through its e-commerce platform. The decision is a direct response to the coalition’s November 2025 call for stronger safeguards.

“Shopify’s decision to ban all e‑cigarette sales is a victory for public health and for the safety of New Mexico youth. For far too long, unregulated and illegal vape products have been allowed to flow through online marketplaces with very little oversight, putting our kids at serious risk.
