New Mexico AttorneyGeneral Raúl Torrez led the New Mexico Department of Justice’s (NMDOJ)inaugural “Community Conversations” forum on Wednesday evening, bringingtogether nearly 70 community members at the Juan I. Gonzales AgriculturalCenter in Taos for an open discussion on federal disruptions and other pressingstate and local matters. While the NMDOJ organized and facilitated the event,the department is grateful to the Juan I. Gonzales Agricultural Center forgenerously providing the space to host this important conversation. “NewMexicans have been severely impacted by recent federal actions and have validconcerns about important community and state matters. The currentadministration fails to recognize that its actions are harming real,hardworking people. Our office is currently involved in a number of lawsuitsagainst the Trump administration, and it is crucial to continue hearingconcerns directly from our community.
