The New Mexico Department of Justice (NMDOJ) is proud to highlight a new training initiative – Stop. Drop. Verify. – aimed at educating New Mexicans about the increasingly sophisticated world of scams, including those using artificial intelligence, and how to recognize, avoid and report them before harm occurs. The NMDOJ’s new initiative provides free education presentations and resources for communities, organizations, schools and partner agencies.

“Scams are becoming increasingly more difficult to spot in the age of AI and education resources are slim – our goal is to broaden awareness so New Mexicans will be armed with knowledge moving through the digital age. The more we know about scams, including types and capabilities, the more we can help protect New Mexicans from the potentially detrimental effects.” – AG Torrez
