AG Nessel: Michigan Consumer Protection Launches Abbott Elementary-Inspired Consumer Protection Campaign

Today, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced the launch of the next themed campaign from the Department of Attorney General’s new consumer protection social media account, MI Consumer Protection (@MIConsumerWatch). Inspired by the ABC series “Abbott Elementary,” the campaign uses themes from the show to help Michigan consumers “study up” on common scams and learn how to stay ahead of bad actors seeking to take advantage of them. A teaser video is now available on YouTube, giving viewers an introduction to the campaign.
“Consumer protection is something we all have to keep learning about,” Nessel said. “Scams are constantly evolving, and this campaign delivers important information in an engaging, familiar way to help Michiganders stay a step ahead of fraudsters.”
