AG Jennings issues a statement following the Supreme Court victory on mail-in voting

Published Date: Sep 15, 2026

AG Jennings issued a statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court refusing to allow the Trump Administration’s proposed takeover of mail-in voting from going into effect.

“This attempt by the Trump Administration to interfere with mail voting for our midterm elections is over. […] The constitution is as clear as day here: it is the states – and states alone – who have the authority and prerogative to administer elections and make decisions about how they should be carried out – and going forward, it is the states who will continue to ensure that our elections are protected from unlawful interference. Mail voting continues to be a safe and secure way to cast your ballot, and I encourage all eligible Delawareans to make a plan to work for this year’s midterm elections in November.” – AG Jennings
