Published Date: Oct 29, 2025

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell today issued the following statement marking the effective date of certain employer obligations under the Wage Transparency Law, including the requirement that employers with 25 or more employees disclose salary ranges in job postings and protect employees’ right to ask for salary ranges:
“The Wage Transparency Law is an important step in improving transparency and closing wage gaps that have held workers – especially for women and people of color – back for too long,” said AG Campbell. “My office remains committed to ensuring that both employers and employees understand their rights and obligations.”
