AG Campbell alongside a coalition of 48 states and territories, today announced a $29.6 million multistate settlement with generic drug manufacturer Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Inc., USA to resolve allegations that it engaged in a widespread, long-running scheme to artificially inflate prices, limit competition, and restrain trade with regard to numerous generic prescription drugs. Under the terms of the agreement, Massachusetts agencies will receive approximately $297,026 and Massachusetts consumers harmed by the actions of Glenmark and others will be eligible to claim compensation from a nationwide settlement fund.
