AG Anthony G. Brown released guidance for state and local law enforcement, outlining their role in federal immigration enforcement. Today’s guidance updates 2017 guidance to address changes in Maryland law. The guidance is designed to help law enforcement agencies comply with federal and state laws while protecting individual constitutional rights and maintaining community trust.While this guidance is for law enforcement use, Attorney General Brown wants Marylanders to have access to the document for informational purposes, in the interest of transparency and his commitment to upholding the rule of law.
