​AG Bonta, alongside the California Air Resources Board, today led a multistate coalition in suing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over its failure to implement a lifesaving 2024 Clean Air Act rule strengthening National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter, commonly known as soot.

The Trump EPA must comply with the law and take the actions that Congress mandated to help protect Americans from deadly soot pollution.
