AG Bonta, AG Weiser, AG Raoul, and AG Rayfield announce $733 million agreement in principle with Albertsons for its role in opioid epidemic

AG Bonta announced that, after multistate negotiations, an agreement in principle has been reached on monetary terms that would require grocery chain Albertsons to pay up to $773,787,782.93 to address its role in the opioid epidemic. Albertsons operates in California through a number of subsidiaries, including Safeway and Vons.
