AG Clark Announces 9th Annual Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food and Diaper Drive

Published Date: Aug 29, 2025

In its ninth year supporting Vermonters in need and the vital work of the Vermont Foodbank, the Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food Drive will start Friday, September 5th, and run until Friday, September 19th. For the third year in a row, the Attorney General’s Office is encouraging members of the legal community to collect diapers, in addition to food, to support Vermont families experiencing diaper need.

For the past eight years, the Vermont Foodbank, the Vermont Bar Association (VBA), the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and many other law offices throughout the state have joined forces to raise more than $85,000 and collect over 13,000 food items and other nonperishable items such as diapers. The Vermont Paralegal Organization (VPO) joins for its fifth consecutive year in co-hosting the food drive.

“I am proud to continue the food and diaper drive, which I have supported each of the past nine years of its existence. Households in our community continue to struggle with the rising cost of food and diapers, as there is no government subsidy for families experiencing diaper need, and many federally-funded food and nutrition programs are under threat. I urge the legal community to give back by donating in this year’s drive. Together, we can show our support for the members of our community who need a helping hand.” -AG Clark
