AG Brown’s civil rights and consumer protection investigation results in $180,000 payment from agricultural grower King Fuji Ranch

 AG Brown filed a resolution with King Fuji Ranch, a Richland-based agricultural company, following an  investigation into discriminatory employment practices and misrepresentations to local farmworkers about agricultural job opportunities. As part of the settlement, King Fuji Ranch will reform its hiring practices and pay $180,000 to the Attorney General’s Office.

“Employers cannot discriminate against willing, available local workers in order to abuse foreign visa programs. The Attorney General’s Office will protect farmworkers in Washington state from employers that break the law.”- AG Brown
